Lake Cargelligo Central offers its students a number of advantages. As a Kindergarten to Year 12 school we can offer students the expertise of teachers from both primary and secondary departments. The extensive computer network enhances students' learning and includes two mobile laptop laboratories, plus two established computer rooms. Students and staff access interactive whiteboards in most rooms as well as interactive video conferencing facilities. Specialist rooms include food technology, technics, science art and includes a school farm for agriculture.
The students at our school currently receive support from Equity programs and National Partnerships Low SES. Our school has a supportive welfare policy which encourages self discipline and appropriate behaviour.
We offer comprehensive Vocational Education and Training (VET) program for students in Years 10 and 11. Our staff are accredited to deliver the VET subjects in school:
* Hospitality
* Business Services
* Primary Industries
* Building and Construction
These courses are dual accredited for TAFE and provide students with the opportunity to obtain pre apprenticeship competencies and Cert: 2 in most subjects.
We encourage students to strive to achieve their personal best in academic, cultural or sporting areas. We also encourage our students to help others and become involved in the wider community and take their civic responsibility seriously.
